Celebration Art brings community together through shared experiences. Since 1989 I have been a part of the Fremont Solstice Parade, an event that brings people together to have fun, express themselves, and be a part of art.

The Parade operates with three simple rules: no motors, no printed words or logos, and no live animals. From extremely humble beginnings, the Parade has become one of the most fun-loving and beloved Seattle events with more than 1,000 yearly participants and audiences of over 50,000. For several years a Pageant was performed after the Parade combining parade art with music and dance to tell a story of the return of the Sun.
