My installation work uses simple materials to create structures that are dense with meaning and a sense of place. Fabric is fundamental to this process. It is an intimate part of our lives. It protects us from the elements, gives us comfort, and a means to express ourselves. It is both sensual and essential. Fabric encourages the viewer to connect with artwork in a way that is familiar and, at the same time, unique.

Indivisible
Panels of translucent silk organza, dyed in shades from ivory to deep brown, provide a visual metaphor for our diverse communities. We are all the same and yet, look closer and each of us is a unique combination of DNA and life-experience.

Seen/Unseen
